Amid a shortage of Covid vaccines and a slugging inoculation drive, Maharashtra minister Aditya Thackeray has said that the state is looking at the possibility of importing the vaccines. In an interview to NDTV, Thackeray said that once procurement is sorted, the state govt has a roadmap to vaccinate Mumbai in around 3 weeks. "Like other states, we are scrambling and struggling for vaccines," Thackeray stated, adding that the state is looking at procuring vaccines at the earliest. Maharashtra is the worst affected state in the country where Covid has taken the maximum toll. While Mumbai Covid numbers are dropping, Thackeray said, "Until all Indians are vaccinated, all Indians are not safe".
