Mahant Narendra Giri's death: Culprits won't be spared, says CM Yogi

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday assured that those responsible for the death of Akhil Bhartiya Akhada Parishad chief Mahant Narendra Giri will not be spared.

The CM paid his last respects to the Mahant, who was found dead at his mutt on Monday evening, in Prayagraj.

Speaking to the mediapersons, Yogi Adityanath said that a team of top UP Police officers is probing the death of the seer and culprits will be brought to book.

The police have said that seer died by suicide and they have arrested a close aide based on the suicide note found in the Mahant's room.

In the suicide note, the Mahant Narendra Giri has reportedly mentioned harassment by his close aide Anand Giri, who is now in police custody.

Several top UP ministers also visited Prayagraj on Tuesday to pay their last respects to Mahant Narendra Giri.
