Lucknow IPL team led by RPSG group appoint Andy Flower as the head coach

RPSG Group led Lucknow Franchise in the Indian Premier League have appointed former English coach and Zimbabwe captain Andy Flower as the head coach. Flower will be the first coach of the new franchise which is set to make the debut in the Indian Premier League from the 2022 season.

RPSG Group recently won the bid to own and run the Lucknow franchise of the Indian Premier League for a whopping amount of Rs 7,090 crore. Flower who recently resigned as the assistant coach of Punjab Kings in the IPL was the first major sign of the things to come.

Flower in the past has been the head coach of the English cricket team and lots of T20 franchises including Multan Sultans, St Lucia Zouks. He also was the batting consultant for Afghanistan national team at the 2021 World T20.
