When it comes to gender, sex and gender assigned by birth, there is still confusion among people regarding the terms and their meanings. So, let's understand the difference between cisgender and agender.

Cisgender

Cisgender is a term that is used to define people whose gender identity matches the gender that they were assigned at birth.

Agender

Agender is a term that is used to define people who do not belong to any gender and neither do they associate with the gender they were assigned at birth.

It is also worth taking a note that gender and gender expression are two different things and a person can be cisgender or agender but their gender expressions can be different.
