Are you also guilty of drinking less water? Then be aware as dehydration might be one of the reasons behind early ageing.

Study finds dehydration causes early ageing

According to a study released in The Lancet’s journal eBioMedicine, drinking right amount of water may lessen chances of chronic diseases as well as ageing. Researchers collected data from more than 11,200 participants for about 30 years and observed them twice in their fifties and once between the ages of 70 and 90.

Drinking enough water lessens chances of premature ageing

It was found that those who had serum sodium levels above 142 millimoles, were 39% more likely to develop chronic diseases and 50% more likely to age earlier than their chronological age. Whereas, those with serum sodium levels above 144 millimoles were at 21% higher risk of early mortality.

So, it’s once again clear that water is key to longer and healthier life.
