The US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) has recently approved a new type of eye drop which can eliminate the need for reading glasses.
Called Vuity, the drop can be applied to each eye once a day. As per researchers, the eye drop starts working within 15 minutes of application and lasts for at least six hours.
Vuity has been designed to rapidly adjust to the pH of the tear film. It is most effective for those between the ages of 40 and 55 and less effective for people older than 65.
The new eye drop will cost $79 for a 30-day usage. As of now, the drops have shown no serious side effects. However, some patients experienced mild headaches and eye redness.
