Study suggests yoga can help breast cancer patients

According to a study conducted by the country’s largest cancer institute, Tata Memorial Hospital, inclusion of Yoga in the treatment of breast cancer patients can be highly beneficial.

Certainly, breast cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women not only in India but globally.

For the trial, yoga sessions were carefully designed with inputs from yoga consultants and physiotherapists to suit the needs of breast cancer patients and survivors. 

Time and again yoga has proven its superiority in maintaining an excellent quality of life. Researchers noted a 15% improvement in disease-free survival (DFS) and 14% in overall survival (OS) after yoga sessions.
