Don’t mind giving extra time at work? Well, drop that habit as it might be bad for your mental health.
According to a study conducted by the University of Michigan, working extra hours in a stressful job may develop depression in the long run.
For the study, researchers evaluated more than 17,000 participants for a period of 11 years. They found that working extra hours is a significant factor for causing depression.
The findings suggest that working for 90 or more hours per week is associated with depression symptoms as compared to working for 40 to 45 hours per week.
