Coffee consumption in moderate quantities benefits our digestive system and gut, new research has claimed. The study published in the Nutrients Journal also observed that coffee helps to prevent gallstones and several liver diseases.

Researchers evaluated 194 different publications for the study and concluded that moderate coffee consumption (around three to four cups a day) didn't create any harmful effects on the digestive tract. 

As per the findings, coffee is linked to a healthier composition of gut microbiota and positively affects your digestive system. The research also strongly supported the protective effect of coffee against liver diseases.
