After gorging on too many sweets and fried food this festive season experiencing digestive issues is common. To keep this problem at bay, nutritionist Disha Sethi shared an easy recipe to debloat post festivities.

To prepare this, you only need a few slices of apples, cinnamon and ginger. Mix them all together in water and sip it throughout the day.

Apples are rich in fibre, support digestion and encourage bowel movements. On the other hand, cinnamon, acts as a natural diuretic and aids in reducing inflammation and expelling trapped gas.

Here are some effective ways to prevent bloating: eat slowly, have smaller and frequent meals, practice mindful chewing, choose room-temperature beverages, increase physical activity and maintain an upright posture. Take a short stroll after meals, limit carbonated drinks and certain foods like spicy or fried items, and avoid specific vegetables, legumes, and sugar substitutes like sorbitol, mannitol, or maltitol.
