Blinkit’s special initiative to open opportunities for the specially-abled community

Online grocery delivering brand, Blinkit, launches its first ‘silent’ store in Laxmi Nagar, New Delhi.

The store will be run by 20 specially-abled individuals who can neither hear nor speak. This unique initiative by the brand is an attempt to open better job opportunities for the specially-abled community.

The announcement was made on Twitter by the company’s co-founder and CEO, Albinder Dhindsa. Formerly known as Grofers, the company has joined hands with Dr Reddy’s Foundation and Sarthak Educational Trust to launch this store.
