It was the finale episode of a 4 year old corporate saga in the Supreme Court as the Chief Justice led Bench ruled in favour of the Tata Group in the Tata vs Mistry case.

The Apex court set aside the NCLAT order and has answered all the appeals in favour of the Tata Group. The court also dismissed Pallonji Group appeals against the Tata Group alleging mismanagement.

The only loose end remains the matter of valuing Mistry’s stake in Tata Sons. The Pallonji group holds over 18% in Tata Sons and the court has thrown the issue back to the brawling boardroom to decide the valuation of the Tata Sons’ shares. The Chief Justice stated " We leave it to Tata Sons, Mistry to take legal route to resolve issue of shares. Value of Tata Sons shares depends on equity”

So as they say.. “Picture Abhi Baaki Hai"
