Kangana Ranaut's parents say 'Thalaivii' will get her the 5th National Award

Actor Kangana Ranaut's parents are thrilled to see their daughter's performance in 'Thalaivii', the biopic based on the life of actress and former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa.

Kangana on Wednesday, shared a photo of her parents after they watched 'Thalaivii' for the first time. Kangana said, her parents predicted yet another National Award for her, for the film.

Kangana already has four National Film Awards in her kitty, for her performances in 'Queen', 'Tanu Weds Manu: Returns', 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' and 'Panga'

But the release of 'Thalaivii' has been an uphill climb for Kangana. She has been constantly urging the Maharashtra govt to open the theatres so that her film, can be released across more screens.

'Thalaivii' has been shot simultaneously in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu languages and will also mark Kangana's debut in the South Indian film industry.
