The waters of Goa's beaches have been invaded by stinging jellyfish that has left over 90 beachgoers seeking first aid in the past two days. Drishti Marine, a lifeguard agency of the Goa government, released a statement where they urged tourists to exercise caution while visiting the beaches. Majority of the cases were reported from the Baga-Sinquerim beach stretch. While most of such stings cause mild irritation, in rare cases medical intervention may be required. They even advised tourists on what to do if they were stung by a jellyfish.
