It's confirmed! Kangana Ranaut to play Sita in period drama 'Sita: The Incarnation'

Days after enthralling movie buffs with her latest film 'Thalaivii', a biopic based on former Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa, Kangana Ranaut is all set to portray another epic character based on the Ramayana.

The 4-time National Award-winning actress has signed up to play the role of Sita in an upcoming epic period drama, titled 'Sita: The Incarnation'. 

Confirming the news, Kangana shared the title poster of the film on Instagram. She wrote in the post's caption, 'Glad to be on board for the title role with this immensely talented team of artists. Directed by Alaukik Desai, period drama 'Sita: The Incarnation' will release in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

On the work front, Kangana has several projects in the pipeline this year. The actress recently wrapped up shooting for 'Dhaakad'. Kangana also has 'Tejas' in her kitty where she plays an Indian Air Force pilot.
