Twitter India's top executive on Friday tweeted a slogan poster on the microblogging website that seemed to indicate the trouble the social media giant is facing with the authorities in India.

"It's going to be hard, but hard does not mean impossible’, Twitter India managing director Manish Maheshwari’s post read.

The tweet comes hours after he was criticised by the Delhi Police for allegedly trying to dodge queries on content filtering.  However, Maheshwari had offered an epilogue, saying he was only talking about spending the weekend without the internet as his broadband was down

Maheshwari has been accused of taking "a path of evasiveness instead of cooperation." But he has claimed he is merely a sales head and has no role in operations linked to content

A row with authorities erupted between when Twitter marked a tweet by a BJP leader as "manipulated media"
