When and Where to watch the IPL 2022 retention ceremony? 

The retention ceremony for the next year's cash-rich league will take place later today and will kick start at 9.30 pm IST.

Star Sports 1/1 HD and Star Sports Hindi/1 HD Hindi will telecast the ceremony live. 

The ceremony will also be aired live on Disney+Hotstar.

Full list of probable retainees

The existing 8 IPL franchises are set to submit the list of retainees ahead of the IPL 2022. As per BCCI's retention rule, the teams are only allowed to retain a total of 4 players from their existing squad.

According to ESPNCricinfo's report, here is the list of probable cricketers who are to be retained by their respective franchise:

2021 winners Chennai Super Kings are set to retain their star skipper MS Dhoni along with Ravindra Jadeja, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Moeen Ali. 

Mumbai Indians who have the maximum IPL titles will look to keep their skipper Rohit Sharma and ace Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah.

Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell will likely remain a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore for next year.

Runner-up KKR's Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Varun Chakravarthy and Venkatesh Iyer to be retained.

SRH will look to retain Kiwi cricketer Kane Williamson.

Delhi Capitals will look to secure Axar Patel, Rishabh Pant, and Prithwi Shaw

Rajasthan's Sanju Samson, Joss Buttler will likely continue to remain a part of the squad. 

Punjab Kings will look to retain Mayank Agarwal, Ravi Bishnoi and Arshdeep Singh.
