IPL 2021 final, CSK beat KKR,
KKR may have had a dream run in the UAE-leg of IPL 2021, but MS Dhoni's CSK proved too tough on the night of the final. Chennai beat Kolkata by 27 runs to win its 4th IPL, just a year after they failed to qualify for the playoffs.
Put into bat, openers once again took CSK off to a solid start with Faf du Plessis scoring 86. Ruturaj Gaikwad ended up with the Orange Cap with 635 runs in IPL 2021. Moeen Ali's fiery 37 the powered CSK to 192/3. Chasing which KKR was off to a dream start as openers stitched together a 91-run stand but then their batting collapsed. Knights lost 8 wickets for 34 runs before eventually packing up for 165/9.
Rohit Sharma may still have one more IPL title than MS Dhoni, but Mahi has now won 8 T20 finals, the most by any captain.
