Instagram seems to be going the Tik-Tok way. Reports say the Facebook-owned social media platform is working on a new feature, a Vertical Story Feed. Today, users browse through Stories through taps and horizontal swipes — a feature Instagram adopted from Snapchat.

Instagram has confirmed that the new feature is currently in development stage and is just a prototype that's in the works. There's no news of when it would be opened for beta testing.

TechCrunch in a report said, vertical swiping could feel more natural than taps and horizontal flicks. It is, after all, how users navigate key features across on Facebook’s News Feed or YouTube’s home page.
