BCCI president Sourav Ganguly will travel to the United Kingdom on September 22 to meet with England cricket representatives to discuss the possible rescheduling of the Manchester Test. The 5th and final Test match against England was cancelled due to Covid-19 cases in the Indian camp.
Ganguly will not only meet ECB officials but also the broadcasters to try and resolve the situation as both the parties are set to lose a huge amount of money due to the cancellation of the match. After the cancellation, BCCI had issued a statement saying that both the Boards will work towards finding a window to reschedule the Test.
Indian players were unwilling to step out due to fear of spreading the virus as the support staff tested positive for Covid-19. Indian players have to directly fly to the UAE to take part in the IPL and don't want to risk that as well.
