The Indian team dealt a huge blow ahead of their 1st ODI vs Australia as Harmanpreet Kaur was ruled out of Tuesday's game due to a thumb injury. Indian team coach Ramesh Powar said that they will take a call on her participation in the 2nd ODI according to her pain and fitness management.

India is set to play 3 ODIs against Australia but beating the hosts in their own backyard won't be easy. Australia has got the better of India in 4 of the last 5 ODIs between the 2 sides, with India's last win against them coming way back in July 2017. After the ODIs, India will play a one-off day-night Test and three T20Is down under.
