Days after Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said next Bihar Assembly elections will be fought under Tejashwi Yadav, poll strategist Prashant Kishor on Saturday said there is no need to wait till 2025 and Kumar should hand over the reins of the state to the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) scion.

Kishor also seemed to take a swipe at Nitish Kumar in reminding him it is the RJD and not the JD(U) that is the largest party in the state Assembly.

Kumar's JD(U) broke alliance with the BJP led NDA in August to form a new government in Bihar with Tejashwi Yadav who steered the RJD led 'grand alliance', to an impressive electoral performance in 2020 assembly polls.
