Watch: stones pelted at new Vande Bharat Express in West Bengal, 4 days after train's launch

In a serious incident putting passengers at risk, stones were pelted at the new Vande Bharat Express train in West Bengal on 2 January 2023.

The incident occurred near Samsi Kumarganj of Kathia Division of the Indian Railways. The impact of the stones caused major cracks in the glass pane of the train's main door. None of the passengers suffered injuries.

Bengal's first Vande Bharat Express between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri was launched by PM Modi on 30 December 2022.
