Alleged gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed's son Asad was killed in a police encounter on 13 April 2023.
Asad and Ghulam, both wanted in the Umesh Pal murder case, were shot down by Uttar Pradesh Police's Special Task Force in Jhansi.
Cops claimed that sophisticated, foreign-made weapons were seized from them.
The encounter took place on a day when Atiq Ahmed was produced in a Prayagraj court after being brought to UP from a Gujarat jail.
