The Indian Army lost at least 2 soldiers, while 4 others were injured during an encounter with terrorists on May 5, 2023.
The gunfight broke out in Kandi forest in Rajouri at around 7:30 am.
The Army said that the terrorists triggered a bomb in the area. The injured soldiers were evacuated and rushed to a hospital.
The encounter was in progress when the Army statement was issued on the afternoon of May 5.
