Satellite images of China 'building dam' which may impact water flow in India, Nepal spark concern

Satellite imagery has revealed another concerning project being undertaken by China near the border with India, as per reports.

China is reportedly constructing a dam in Tibet on a tributary of the Ganga river. The location of the dam is close to the tri-junction of borders of India, China, and Nepal.

There are concerns that the dam could be used to affect the flow of water in Nepal and India.

Damien Symon, a geospatial intelligence researcher at the Intel Lab, tweeted the images, saying that the construction began in 2021.
