1000 Made-in-India drones will illuminate the Vijay Chowk during the Beating Retreat ceremony on January 29th year
Drones will be used for the first time at the event this year.
Videos from the rehearsals showed the drones forming a globe to while the narrator spoke about the Indian concept of ‘vasudhaiva kutumbakam’ or the world as one family.
The drones then went to form a silhouette of the Mahatma Gandhi with the narration in the background highlighting his contribution to the nation.
An outline of the monumental National War Memorial was next.
