BJP leader Harsh Mahajan was elected to the Rajya Sabha on 27th February as the saffron party won the lone seat from Himachal Pradesh.

Senior Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi lost the election. Multiple Congress MLAs reportedly cross-voted in favour of the BJP.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu alleged that a convoy of Haryana police and CRPF escorted five to six Congress MLAs to Haryana.
