Madhya Pradesh minister and BJP leader Narottam Mishra, who has in the past accused Bollywood stars like Aamir Khan of hurting Hindu sentiments, commented on Aamir doing 'kalash puja' at his office, and Shah Rukh Khan visiting the Vaishno Devi shrine.
When asked a question on the issue on 13 December 2022, Mishra said, "Society has become aware now. If all of these people have understood this, then it is good. Everyone has the right to pray as per their belief. People can pray to the god they believe in. But sentiments of others should not be hurt."
