Tripura Election: violence, EVM malfunction claim by TIPRA Motha chief amid voting

Amid voting in Tripura, the chief of the TIPRA Motha party alleged that violence was taking place in many constituencies where sitting ministers are contesting. He blamed the ruling BJP for the violence.

Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma said that violence was witnessed in Dhanpur and Mohanpur. He added that there were some instances of electronic voting machines (EVMs) malfunctioning.

Debbarma said that his party had complained to the Election Commission over the incidents.
