TMC claims BJP workers attacked police in Kolkata, tweets video

The Trinamool Congress has accused BJP workers of attacking policemen in Kolkata during their march to the West Bengal secretariat on Tuesdsay. 

A video tweeted by the ruling party purportedly shows men carrying BJP flags attacking policemen with sticks. It shows a mob surrounding an officer as he tries to run to save himself. 

The authencity of the video, however, couldn't be independently verified. 

The TMC allegations come as BJP accused the police of using excessive force to stop their workers from marching towards the secretariat as part of a protest against Mamata Banerjee's party. 

The Calcutta High Court has sought a report from the West Bengal police over BJP's charges
