Delhi's municipal house witnessed late night drama during the elections for most important committee of the national capital's civic body. AAP and BJP workers came to blows and threw water on each other. The fight started after BJP protested against alleged use of mobile phones by some councillors inside the voting booth in violation of secret ballot policy.

Shelly Oberoi, who was elected as Delhi's mayor earlier in the day on February 22, alleged that BJP workers tried to attack her while she was conducting the elections for MCD's Standing Committee.

The BJP has countered the allegations by saying that they were only trying to talk to Oberoi about halting the proceedings and restarting the voting process.
