No-confidence motion admitted in Lok Sabha; Speaker says time for discussion to be decided

The Speaker of the Lok Sabha admitted a no-confidence motion against the Narendra Modi government moved by a Congress MP on July 26.

The motion was moved by Gaurav Gogoi amid a tussle between the government and the Opposition over a discussion on the situation in Manipur.

Speaker Om Birla said that the timing of the discussion on the no-confidence motion would be decided and announced later.
