G20 Summit: MHA issues cyber alert against targeted 'spear phishing'

As India gears up to host G20 Summit in 2023, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs has issued an alert over possible cyber attacks during the Summit. 

According to an Indian Express report, MHA has shared a list of reported historically targeted G20 Summitsalong with potential attackers with all ministries and departments.

The ministry has reportedly also informed ministries about findings of country’s premier cybersecurity agency, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In).

As per the findings spear phishing will be the “primary vector” used to target individuals and organisations associated with the G20 Summit.
