With the Income Tax Department's action against UK broadcaster BBC turning into a huge political controversy, the Bharatiya Janata Party criticised Opposition parties for alleging an ulterior motive behind the inquiry.
BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia called the BBC "Bhrasht (corrupt), Bakwas (nonsense) Corporation". He also criticised Opposition parties for questioning the action even before the I-T "survey" was over.
Bhatia slammed the Opposition for supporting "anti-national" elements.
