A pack of dogs was found feeding off a corpse in a ground in Ludhiana. The corpse was identified as that of 45-year-old Guddi Devi who had been missing for the last six days.

The corpse, almost stripped to the bones by the time it was found, was identified as Guddi Devi by her daughter Payal with help of a necklace found on the body.

The police said the woman had gone missing after she left home around 7 pm in the evening. Guddi Devi was a factory worker and had been living in Ludhiana with her 5 children, the police said. She had moved to the city with her children several years back after her relationship with her husband soured. Her husband reportedly lives in Agra.

The police are suspecting the woman was murdered and are currently waiting for the postmortem report.
