One Nation, One Election row: Anurag Thakur says no plans to delay or advance polls

Union Minister Anurag Thakur in a conversation with India Today said that the central government neither has plans to delay upcoming assembly elections nor to advance the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Thakur's statement comes amid formation of a committee on the isse of One Nation, One Election headed by former president Ramnath Kovind. 

The minister said that committee will hold an extensive round of deliberations with stake holders before norms are finalised for One Nation, One Election.
