Manish Sisodia moves Supreme Court over CBI arrest, day after being sent to 5-day custody in liquor case

Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on 28 February 2023 moved the Supreme Court.

The Aam Aadmi Party leader reportedly sought bail in the Delhi liquor policy case in which he has been arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation.

A bench headed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud agreed to hear the plea on the same day. The court initially said that Sisodia can also move the Delhi High Court for bail and quashing of the FIR.

Sisodia was sent to 5-day CBI custody on 27 February.
