A hole drilled in the wall of a temple by a thief to allow him escape after stealing oranments from the idols turned out to be the reason he got caught.
R Papa Rao from Andhra's Srikakulam was trying to escape after stealing ornaments from the Jami Ellama temple but he got stuck in the hole at the waist.
His cries for help alerted the locals who ultimately called the police after being unable to pull him out.

In a video doing around on social media, one of locals can be heard describing the situation while showing what looks like stolen coins on the ground.
