Watch: CCTV of terror attack in Pulwama : CCTV cameras captured the dastardly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir which has caused alarm just days ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah's trip to the Union Territory.

On 2 October 2022, in Pulwama, terrorists opened fire at security personnel. The attack occurred when DSP, headquarters, was inspecting a check-point. CCTV footage showed bullets flying, and security personnel taking cover, as some other individuals fled from the spot.

Special Police Officer (SPO) Javid Ahmad Dar was killed in the attack, while a CRPF soldier was injured. Police said that the attackers had been identified, but details would be shared later as counter-terror operations had already been launched.

The latest incident came days after bomb blasts in two stationary buses in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur. Police on 2 October claimed that the case was solved with the arrest of an alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist.

While police linked the Udhampur blasts to Amit Shah's upcoming visit, a connection to the Pulwama incident has not been ruled out yet. Amit Shah is slated to arrive in the UT on 4 October for a two-day trip.
