UP: 5 people dead and at least 64 injured after fire at Durga Puja pandal

3 children and 2 women died in a fire at a Durga Puja pandal in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi on Sunday evening, officials said. At least 64 people were injured in the incident. 

According to District Magistrate Gaurang Rathi, around 150 people were present during the Durga Puja aarti when the fire broke out. He added that 52 people were admitted to different hospitals with 30-40%. The injured are in a stable condition, he said.

Prima facie, an electric short circuit is believed to be the cause of fire, according to the police.
