Days after terrorists targeted yet another member of the Kashmiri Pandit community in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama, a terrorist was shot down by security forces in the district.
An encounter broke out in the Awantipora area on the morning of 28 February 2023. Police said that one terrorist had been killed, but his body was yet to be retrieved.
On 26 February, terrorists had shot and killed Sanjay Sharma, a bank security guard, while he was on his way to a local market.
