A local train in Mumbai ran over some cattle on May 24, disrupting rail services, and causing delays. The incident occurred between Bhivpuri Road and Neral stations.

The train in question was moving towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), when cattle present at the tracks were run over. The incident occurred during peak hours, at 5:15 pm leading to greater chaos on the mainline of Central Railway.

Trains operating from Karjat towards Kalyan were impacted. Long-distance trains also suffered some delays. Rail traffic was finally restored after around an hour and a half.

Coincidentally, train services had been affected earlier in the day as well. Suburban services on the Harbour Line of the Central Railway had been hit due to power issues during morning peak hours on May 24.
