After Joshimath, the land subsidence situation appears to be escalating in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda.

A day after reports of cracks in multiple buildings, local administration and a team from the Geological Survey of India visited the spot where over 20 structures have been affected.

A local official said that the "zone of influence" was limited to the area where the affected buildings are situated. SDM Athar Amin Zargar said that people have been evacuated from the area, and the situation is under control.

The Geological Survey team will conduct a study and submit a report to the Union government.
