Terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir are continuing to target members of the minority communities. Following attacks on some labourers from other states, terrorists targeted a minority community village on April 19.

Terrorists opened fire at security personnel guarding a village inhabited by members of the minority community in Shopian district, according to news agency PTI. Terrorists shot at a security bunker outside the village at Heerpora around 10 am on April 19.

A police official was quoted as saying that there was no loss of life or injury in the attack. This was the tenth terror incident in the Union Territory in April so far, according to reports.

A day earlier, terrorists had killed a head constable of the Railway Protection Force in Pulwama. An assistant sub-inspector had also been injured in the attack.
