Gujarat: violence on camera; stone pelting, religious shrine vandalised after road accident

The fever of communal violence continues to spread in the country. In another incident, clashes broke out in Gujarat's Vadodara on April 17.

The spark this time was a minor road accident, as per reports. People from two difference communities were involved in the accident between two-wheelers. Subsequently, other members of the two communities gathered and started throwing stones at each other.

A religious shrine was reportedly vandalised, and some vehicles were also damaged. 
At least 3 people were injured in the violence. The incident took place in Vadodara's Raopura locality.

Police have arrested over 20 people, according to reports. Heavy police deployment was seen in the area, with two companies of the State Reserve Police also being stationed there.
