Delhi: dense fog delays over 40 flights at IGI airport; temperature dips again

Yet another morning of dense fog in the national capital affected flight operations at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Due to weather conditions, around 45 flights were delayed on the morning of 11 January 2023, according to news agency ANI.

However, no flight diversions were reported till 8 am.

Delhi's Safdarjung observatory recorded a minimum temperature of 5.9 degree Celsius around 6:10 am on 11 January. According to the Met department, visibility in Palam was recorded at 100 meters at 6:10 am.

As was forecast, dense to very dense fog was observed over parts of Punjab, northwest Rajasthan, Jammu, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Tripura.
