Miram Taron, the Arunachal teen who was allegedly kidnapped by the Chinese Army, was beaten up and electrocuted in captivity, his father was quoted as saying.
According to an NDTV report, Miram's father Opang Taron said that his son was taken from Indian territory, and he didn't stray into the Chinese side of the disputed border called the Line of Actual Control.

The 17-year-old is still suffering from trauma after being blindfolded for around 200 hours while he feared torture or even death, his father reportedly said.
Miram Taron reportedly told his father that he was captured by Chinese soldiers at gunpoint and then blindfolded and tied up so he couldn't escape. The Chinese soldiers hit him, and he tried to fight back by pushing one of them. Subsequently, they hurt Miram by mildly electrocuting him, his father reportedly said.
However, the next day he was not tortured, but kept warm and given food.
The teenager and the Chinese soldiers couldn't understand each other despite the latter calling an interpreter.
Miram Taron had gone missing on January 18. The next day, BJP MP from Arunachal East, Tapir Gao, claimed that he had been abducted by China's People's Liberation Army. Subsequently, the Indian Army established contact with their Chinese counterpart. On January 27, the youth was handed over to Indian soldiers.
Arunachal is claimed by expansionist China as its territory. Beijing calls the region South Tibet. The Chinese army has often been accused of aggression and intrusion in the area. India has repeatedly emphasised that the state is an integral part of the nation.
