YouTuber Gaurav Taneja, aka Flying Beast, was arrested by Uttar Pradesh police on 9 July. Police detained Taneja after his fans and followers gathered in huge numbers at a Metro station in Noida to celebrate the YouTuber's birthday.
A day earlier, Taneja had asked his followers via Instagram to come to the Sector-51 Metro station for a celebration. His wife Ritu Rathee had announced that the couple had a booked a Metro train for a party, and the number of people allowed onboard would be restricted to maximum capacity as specified by Metro authorities. However, she had promised to "meet everyone".
Following this, thousands of people reportedly turned up at the Metro station. Police arrested Taneja for violating prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Taneja's Flying Beast YouTube channel has 75 lakh subscribers. His other 2 channels - FitMuscle TV and Rasbhari Ke Papa - have 21 lakh and 12 lakh subscribers respectively.
