It begins: No confidence motions filed against Modi govt by Congress, BRS MPs

Amid an impasse over the Manipur situation in Parliament, Congress and Bharat Rashtra Samithi MPs filed a no-confidence motion against the Narendra Modi government in Parliament.

The motions were moved by Congress' Gaurav Gogoi, and BRS' Nama Nageswara Rao, as per news agency ANI.

The Opposition alliance, which does not include BRS, has been demanding a statement by Prime Minister Modi, and suspension of other business for a detailed discussion on Manipur, in Parliament.
